My name is Alexa Birt — I am a classically-trained musician originally from Kansas City, and currently based in Los Angeles. I specialize in violin/viola performance and private instruction, as well as chamber music.

I've been studying music for over two decades, taking lessons in violin (most recently under Alexander Treger), viola, piano, guitar, flute, and voice. I hold a B.A. in Music from Pepperdine University and have participated in several chamber music festivals, including Heartland Chamber Music Academy in Kansas City, Missouri; Boston University's Tanglewood Institute; and Pepperdine University's Chamber Music and Opera Intensive in Heidelberg, Germany.

Music has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember, and I seek to share it through performance and educational opportunities. I believe music is one of the purest and most intimate art forms, and that same authenticity inspires the way I live my everyday life. In my free time, I like to relax with my dog Holden, catch a sunset on the beach, and discover new artists on Spotify.
